The importance of attentional capacity for academic performance is highlighted by the increasing demands placed on students during primary school. As a brief, noninvasive, cost-effective, and technology-driven therapy, biofeedback is a promising and welcomed clinical intervention for children and adolescents with pediatric chronic pain conditions. Recurrent abdominal pain (RAP) affects up to 34% of the world's population of children. Medical management has been limited, but behavioral strategies have been shown to be effective.
